The idea was to create a board that paddles easy and is just a fun mid-length for local conditions. More specifically back of Pipe Port Elizabeth or a good day at Rincon/Millers. The customer "John Macleod" (Currently aged 74), mentioned he just wants to have a board that cruises but retains it's speed and flow to connect good turns. We spent time in the shaping gathering some ideas for what we wanted to achieve. Deciding to move the wide point foreward for an easy paddle, Vee on the bottom through the tail so it rolls over nicely and refined rails for good turning. Happy with my first mid-length build. What a great privilege to this shape with John. Always good to receive some wisdom from him.
